At Forge Valley School & Sixth Form, A Level Business enables students to develop a deeper understanding of how organisations respond to opportunities, challenges and change in local, national and global markets. Building upon prior knowledge, students explore the strategic decisions that influence business success while considering the impact of economic, technological and social factors on organisations.

Students investigate topics including marketing, finance, operations, human resources and business strategy, applying their knowledge to a wide range of real-world organisations and case studies. As they progress, they develop increasingly sophisticated analytical and evaluative skills, enabling them to assess business performance, evaluate competing strategies and make well-reasoned recommendations.

A Level Business develops highly valued transferable skills including analytical thinking, communication, problem-solving, interpretation of data and decision-making. The qualification provides an excellent foundation for higher education, apprenticeships and careers in areas such as business management, marketing, finance, human resources, entrepreneurship and the wider commercial sector.
