At Forge Valley School, we are committed to providing a rich and varied programme of extracurricular activities that broaden our pupils’ experiences beyond the classroom. These opportunities allow pupils to develop confidence, resilience and new skills while engaging with activities that inspire and challenge them. Duke of Edinburgh Award
Forge Valley School is proud to work in partnership with the Duke of Edinburgh Award, offering pupils the chance to take part in this nationally recognised programme of personal development. Through the Duke of Edinburgh Award, pupils build independence, teamwork, leadership and resilience while working towards achievements across key sections such as volunteering, physical activity, skills development and expedition.
Participation gives pupils the opportunity to challenge themselves, discover new interests and contribute positively to their community. The award is widely respected by further education providers and employers, making it a valuable addition to pupils’ personal profiles.

A Christian Union club is a welcoming space where students can explore the Christian faith, build friendships, and support one another in their personal and spiritual lives.
