We would like to invite you to our Year 10 Parent Information Evening, which will take place on Tuesday 24th March from 5pm to 6:45pm.

This important event is designed to provide families with key information as pupils prepare to sit their first set of Year 10 mock examinations. During the evening, we will outline what pupils can expect, share effective revision strategies, and discuss the habits and routines that support academic success and personal wellbeing.

Plan for the Evening:

• Welcome and Introduction – 20 minutes

Led by Mr Crofts (Assistant Headteacher) and Mr Warne (Head of Year 10), providing an overview of the mock examination process, expectations, and ways families can support at home.

• Workshop Carousel – 1 hour

Families will then take part in a rotation of three focused workshops delivered by the Maths, English, and Science departments. Each 20‑minute session will cover:

- Subject‑specific revision techniques

- Assessment expectations

- Advice on how to support your child in these core subjects

• Refreshments and Information Stalls – 25 minutes

To finish the evening, refreshments will be available alongside stalls providing guidance and support on SEND provision, attendance and punctuality, safeguarding and personal development opportunities.

On arrival, pupils will receive their most recent progress report along with their reflection report completed in form time, offering a valuable opportunity for families to discuss strengths, targets, and next steps together.

We strongly encourage all parents and carers to attend, as this evening will offer practical advice and meaningful insight into how we can work together to support your child during this important stage of their education.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming you on the evening.
